I jumped right in on the chalkboard bandwagon! I wasn’t feelin’ it at first and wondered why everyone wanted a freakin’ chalkboard.
Now I understand, it’s because they’re awesome!
Here are 3 DIY chalkboard projects I just did.
DIY Chalkboard 1.
This one I purchased as a chalkboard already and decorated it with spring flowers. I thought it would make a nice, functional spring decoration.
DIY Chalkboard 2.
I bought an old picture frame and used [easyazon_link identifier=”B001DJ1VCS” locale=”US” nw=”y” nf=”y” tag=”girlfrarelike-20″]chalk spray paint[/easyazon_link] to make this one. It took about 3 coats of spray paint before I couldn’t see through any parts of the glass.
That’s because I suck at spray painting, I’m sure 3 coats would be unnecessary for the seasoned spray painter.
I haven’t done anything with the actual frame yet because depending on where I put it will determine what color I change that to…I also couldn’t think of a color. Suggestions?
I am LOVING these [easyazon_link identifier=”B00OQG1ZA8″ locale=”US” nw=”y” nf=”y” tag=”girlfrarelike-20″]chalk markers[/easyazon_link] though! Blue, pink, yellow and green. They work awesome and come off just like regular chalk.
DIY Chalkboard 3.
These cute drawers I found at the Dollar Store and glued them together with E600 glue and game an ombre pink paint job.
The front of the drawers are chalkboard. Really cool if I want to label the drawers!
I think I’m going to use this for some of my jewelry making supplies and so it will be quite handy being able to label them with chalk.
I’m having fun with making my own chalkboards, kinda want them everywhere now.
Do you use any in your house?
