Words for your Wall
You’ve probably noticed all the inspirational words & letters people are putting up on their walls. I too have done that in my makeshift home office wall gallery.
Not only is it aesthetically appealing but wonderfully positive & the options here really are endless.
You can use vinyl decals, paint your own on creative surfaces, frame printables, decoupage, modge podge…
Abstract DIY Wall Art
What’s fun about abstract is that you can do whatever you want and it’s perfectly okay. Some of my favorite wall art pieces are abstract done by do it yourself-ers like us!
I’m really diggin’ the gold accents.
Go Bold & Colorful
If you’re the type who doesn’t want to commit to color long term or maybe not all that decor savvy then this is for you. Add beauty by color around your house via wall art!
You can switch it up whenever you like while keeping your wall decor freedom intact.
These lips are super eye catching and would really make a pop in any room. I have been thinking about the easiest cheapest way to make a version of these and came up with paint sticks! They would be easy to cut with a dremel tool and would be lightweight when finished. You can attach them to keep them in place on just about anything, sturdy cardboard is my choice. Add some acrylic paint and done!
- paint sticks (I think 50 would be sufficient but I ordered a package of 100 so I have room for error.)
- red acrylic paint
- reliable glue
- cutter – I think an exacto would work but the easiest option would be a handheld tool like a dremel.
Mix it Up
Something I have yet to try in my own home is one of my favorite ways to decorate walls which is, using different materials other than a regular canvas or print.
Like…yarn, rocks, paper, wood, branches, fabric, feathers, beads…
It adds uniqueness & expression to your walls.
So there you have different kinds of super chic & modern DIY wall art ideas. Aren’t they all just fabulous?
