Gratitude is a feeling or attitude in acknowledgment of a benefit that one has received or will receive.
Gratitude helps us recognize caring, kind people as well as the blessings we have and are around us.
To recognize your blessings, make a list of gratitude.
Pick 5 or 10 things you are grateful for and make a journal entry.
Here’s a list I’ve made of some things I am grateful for:
- My mother’s love and strength. She is most definitely my inspiration and I am so thankful for her it’s hard to find the words.
- My ability to understand people and the cause of their actions. This has helped me move past many hurtful situations.
- My life. I am grateful for all that I have; freedom, choice, comfort, clothes, food, family & friends.
- My agility and senses.
- The kindness of people; to me, from me, and people around me.
Practice making these lists in your journal and start to see all the wonderful things around you.
This is always an excellent journal entry idea, you can never make too many of these lists. Or just throw some gratitude into any entry whenever you feel it!
Have you ever made a list of gratitude and do you think you’ll journal this list for yourself?
