No Sew Purse/Bag – Furoshiki

I had promised some cool posts prior to my T.M.I. blurb and this is one of the ones I had in mind.

It’s how to make a purse or bag out of a scarf or square piece of material by making knots and involves absolutely no sewing which is the best part.

In Japanese it’s referred to as ‘furoshiki’ which is the craft of using this material to wrap gifts, for example. My favorite is the bag and that’s why I’m showing that.

It’s fast, easy and convenient. You can whip out a scarf anywhere you need a bag and have one in about 30 seconds flat.

Here are the instructions that I learned this from at Craft Envy

Here is one I did…

It’s a cool craft and lot’s of ways to play around with it. 🙂

I love how simple it is and what’s best, when you can’t find a matching bag for a great outfit, make one out of scarf. Fab Find- Woot! Woot!
