Adorable music note Christmas tree decorations
I found this adorable musical note paper at Michael’s and knew right away that I wanted to make some Christmas ornaments out of it.
I looked for a template to use and found this tiny box template at Craftsy in the free downloads.
I didn’t print the template out on my musical note paper, instead I edit it to plain white and just print out a copy I could use as a stencil.
I cut out my tiny boxes and used white craft glue to hold them together.
For the tops I used the top of some Christmas balls that I no longer needed because I used the balls without the tops in my topiary craft.
I knew I wanted to add some color so I used red ribbon as hangers and glued some tiny poinsettia embellishments to the ribbon.
I think they look sort of vintage-y.
A musically talented friend of mine has already asked to have these.
These were a very easy Christmas decoration to make.
I think they’d be nice on a tree or a garland of some sort.
I love these tiny boxes! They could also be used as tiny gift boxes as well.
I know I’ll be searching for some sort of mini gift so that I’ll have an excuse to make one and give a gift in it. Pink sparkles, cute!
I didn’t use thick paper, just regular scrapbook paper and they turned out lovely.
As long as I don’t step on them they’ll stay nicely shaped.
What kinds of DIY Christmas ornaments are you up to?
