Not sure what to buy for Christmas Gifts or Stocking Stuffer? Need ideas on gifts for men?
Christmas is creeping up on us all and every year we have a hard time finding those perfect
gifts for our loved ones.
I’ve compiled a list of ideas for stockings and/or gifts. Some may seem random but
I did that on purpose to hopefully give you some new ideas. I also added some links for examples
and sources. (none of which are affiliate links)
Three things I try to keep in mind while shopping for gifts are these:
- Everyone loves useful things. Most people don’t want or need things that will only†collect dust and add † † †to clutter. You can’t go wrong with something that you know will†be used.Often we try to find gifts for people that they wouldn’t buy for themselves. †Our intentions are†good but we have to be realistic, is that gigantic rooster figurine really something†they’d†want in their kitchen?
- Remember the taste and style of the person you are buying for. Look for something they†would like, not something you would like for them. Eg. You may find a nice looking sweater†but have you ever seen them wear anything like it before? Does it suit their style?†Not sticking to this has backfired on me several times and why wouldn’t I want to gift†something that they would love instead of something I would?
- And lastly, thought always goes much further than we may realize. Not that all gifts aren’t†appreciated but when a gift feels like a gift only for the reason that we think that is what†is expected it can be awkward. A person only needs so many pairs of pajama’s. Try to think†about your gift and make it heartfelt. It really is the thought that counts and personally†makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

† † † † † Think about what his hobbies are, what he likes, what he does.
Be realistic. A flask might seem like a great gift idea but would he ever use it? Have you ever seen or heard him mention that he’d like one?
Think about his style. Just because you like something doesn’t mean he will.
Go with what you know of him and your efforts will show. Think about what he wants not what you want him to have.
