Train Your Subconscious To Help Not Hinder
If you aren’t practicing positive affirmations maybe it’s because you doubt how powerful they can be? Maybe it sounds a little bit silly to you to recite things to yourself or maybe you’re not quite sure how it all works within your mind and sub conscious?
Here’s a great way to understand how our subconscious works by looking at it from a different perspective.
Think about the feeling you get when you watch a scary movie. You are scared. You know it’s not real, you know it’s not happening to you and you know you are safe and sound on your couch yet still remain scared.
Our subconscious works on another level. It is your subconscious that it making you scared. It’s telling you to be fearful of what your mind is going through (watching the scary movie).
Our subconscious doesn’t know the difference between what’s real or not, it believes what it experiences in our lives. The scary movie is a scary situation and it knows for us to be fearful of that. The same way we know to feel fear we also feel what we have experienced mindfully so if we have felt inadequate or a failure in our lives our subconscious only knows that to be the truth so even if you are consciously aiming towards something your subconscious is telling you that you won’t succeed, that you are inadequate.
Re-train your subconscious. How do you do that?
Teach it to back you up with confidence, strength and courage. Teach it to believe only good things and it will change your life.
Simply, affirmations.
So what if we told ourselves positive things on a constant basis?
Our subconscious would naturally believe those things and therefore, change the way we feel and furthermore, the way we act.
Practice them daily and stick with it and you will begin to see change in your life and in yourself and eventually feeling great will come as naturally to you as being scared during a horror flick.
